Savelberg, Bangkok

March 2018

The Savelberg Restaurant in Bangkok is another restaurant of the Dutch chef Henk Savelberg. It has been awarded one Michelin star.

I opted for the 6-course menu with wine pairing.

I started eating before I took the picture. At least that’s how you can see the inside of the ravioli.

The wines matched the menu perfectly. It is difficult to get good wines in Thailand. But this restaurant has managed to offer a good selection of mostly European wines such as Italian Prosecco, German Riesling and, as a dessert wine, an Austrian Kracher.

The bill including service charge amounted to THB 6,885.45 (CHF 209, € 179, USD 221).

The menu and the wines were a real pleasure and offered good value for money.

I visited the just as good restaurant The Reflection the next evening (Link).
